Coach Pitch - (Dob: September 2012 through August 2014)
(League Age 6 and 7) This division introduces hitting a pitched ball from a coach. Players start to understand the concepts of running bases and batting. The focus is still on having fun. This is a non-competitive division and no score is kept. The focus of Coach Pitch is to teach children the fundamentals of baseball.
Games are played twice per week; one during the week starting at 6 p.m. and one on Saturdays. Coaches may schedule an additional night for practice. Saturday field times can start at 9:00 a.m. and are scheduled throughout the day depending on the number of teams we have registered. Games are only scheduled on Sundays if the league needs to move them due to an event in the city or weather. Week night games end when either 6 innings have been completed of the Fort Avenue street lights come on. The field time is 1.5 hours.
*Important Date: A SKILL EVALUATIONS (COACH PITCH, MINOR & MAJORS ONLY) will be held in March. Please have your player attend. All Players Need to Wear Tennis Shoes and Bring Their Gloves!
$100 All players are provided with a team shirt, pants, baseball cap, and socks. Bats and helmets are provided by the league. A baseball glove is REQUIRED to participate and is NOT provided by the league. Cleats are recommended.
All games are played at 1101 E. Fort Ave. Baltimore, MD 21230 on FIELD 3 (This field is located in our bottom portion of our fields. It is above the Tee-ball field)
Little League has a Little League Bat Requirement.
